Sunny and Raining!

This morning it was sunny in my yard but when I looked next door it was pissing rain. This is the weird effect I got trying to capture the rain. You can tell my 12ft sportspal canoe is wet.

Cliteracy

It's unfortunate that most women, don't know what a clit really looks like. We are all taught in biology that it's the little knob that sticks out. That it's the female penis because it does get erect when stimulated.

But that was all I knew for many years. I didn't know that the clit is much like an iceberg and all you see is the tip. As well. from what I've read, the G-spot, is not actually a particular spot at all but also part of the clit.

Most of us can recognize a penis and testicles from a shadow drawing. Most people, including women, don't know what a clit really looks like. That included me until a few months ago. Now am clitorate.

It's sad, even men who know how to please a woman using her clit wouldn't recognize it's depiction at all.

Today everyone who reads my blog will know what a clit looks like and since half the population has one, this is not a bad thing!

One of them was caught!

One of the creeps who taxed my friends nephew around Riverside Park in Lasalle  has been caught.. This idiot and one of his moronic friends would point gun at teens to get their wallets and cellphones.

It's sad I think about this stuff.

You know what is sad? If you were raped or molested as a child and you have children, you spend a great deal of time worrying that it might happen to them.

I believe I've asked both of my daughters if anything happened to them as children that somehow they weren't able to tell me about, and I got the strangest looks. No my kids were not molested or raped. And it's strange that I felt compelled to ask.

But talking to a close friend who was molested as a child, she asked her daughter the same thing once she reached adulthood. That while I'm sure like me she took every precaution to make sure it never happened to her children, she still didn't trust the world enough to think that she had succeeded.

I know very depressing thoughts, but I had to say it.

Android device manager saved my ass yesterday

Well actually it helped me find my Android cell phone which I had lost yesterday.

The tool will locate the device fairly accurately.

I thought I'd left my phone at IGA, but it had made it back to the car. Ironically it was found hiding in the folds of an umbrella.

How about that

I saw this image earlier today and had to share. It's only.men who lose control ... women don't.[Or very very rarely. I've never witnessed it!]  I've never felt the need to touch or grope a woman I found attractive... ever.

Yet I when I was 11-12-13 years old I remember HATING going to school because I could not walk in hallways without random boys just groping. If it wasn't my tiny boobs. .. it was crotch grabs.

I don't ever recall having a woman feel me up randomly without asking. This rape culture that puts all the blame on the victim has got to stop.  When a woman looks like she's being manhandled or victimized we should all fucking speak up. It's 2015 people and most of us do not live under ISIL rule!

Proud Mother of a Master Seaman!

There's my eldest baby now a Master Seaman in the Canadian Navy.

Silver Sebrings scare the fuck out of me.

Dunno what it is, but since the accident in September of 2009 in the Yamaska area, but I am weary of Silver sebrings. Yesterday driving down to Lasalle, I took the first avenue exit in Lachine and then continue along the service road to go take Dollard street in Lasalle. There was an old man driving a silver Sebring who could not find a lane. He was driving in the middle of both. Going in the left or right lane did not make this jack ass budge, nor did honking.

I really have a hate on for Silver Sebrings.

Recreated skater dress

I spent most of today turning a favourite skater dress from H&M into a pattern. I think I succeeded. I modified it a little to adapt to my body.  It fits like a glove.
Dress I made today loosely based on the H&M dress

Sarongs to be gifted

About a month ago I gave a Sarong to my friends 10 year old daughter and she seems to really like it.  Was a turquoise one with surfers.

I.found these two she might like.  She likes fish a lot. She would rather not have it for dinner!

OMG that was a delicious sandwich.

I've blogged about Louise Gluten free before. Today I'm in awe.

We went to pick up bread. Wednesday is baguette day. And I decided since I had no lunch to order a Sandwich. OMG, the veggie sandwich on baguette is out of this world and to die for.

I'm having Louise's sandwiches on a regular basis.

Finally bread fun to eat again!!!

Hopefully this tweet tells us all we need to know about "The Donald"

I won't even bother to say what I think of "The Donald" except to share this story.

The fact he actually appeals to so many republicans is really scary.

Medicated Drama Queen......

No one is the perfect parent but there's a difference between being an ok parent and being the parent from hell.  I've not always been the easiest person to deal with, but despite my shortcomings, I'm a generous, kind and caring person. I love both of my daughters, and am EXTREMELY proud of both.

You'd be amazed at the number of people I've met in my life who's parents compete with them AS ADULTS?!?!?! I understand a teen trying to compete with the parent of his gender, but for the parent to perpetuate that forever?

Both my husbands had a competitive dad. One that will never embrace their son and their son's accomplishments, because they are still too busy competing with their son. That is really pathetic. I've had several other exes with the same thing as well.

Now I just met a woman who I can tell, was jealous the minute her baby was born and the attention shifted from her to her baby. Yes it's hard when you bring a new born home, you're tired and crabby and your body aches, and everyone who comes over ooooos and awwwws over the baby.  That is NORMAL. Still competing with your 25 year old daughter isn't. You should be proud of her accomplishements, not spend all your time trying really hard to put her down.

Dunno I'm reminded of the song "The Outsider" by A Perfect Circle. THe lines "Medicated, drama queen, picture perfect, numb belligerence.  Narcissistic, drama queen, craving fame and all its decadence"

Friends nephew latest victim

My friend lives near Riverside park in Lasalle and so does his mom and sister.  His sisters son is 14 and sometimes he hangs out Riverside park with his friends, until the track lights goes off at 11 and then they scatter. Sometime last week, after he left his friends he was approached by someone asking him the time. Then was grabbed from behind and dragged into the park. His cell phone and wallet was stolen and he was highly traumatized. I'm not going to say what they did to scare him since they did not release this detail in the newspaper article.

Suffice to say, the poor child is now afraid to leave the house. He certainly did not want to talk to Global news when they contacted him for his story.

Usmania Cuisine

Friday I was corralled into going to help a friend figure out what type wedding dress suits her best. She brought along her 3 bridesmaid and her mom.  We all knew her mom was going to be difficult and we were not surprised.

At least my friend found a dress that suits her like a glove and inspiration to make her own. After the ordeal we decided to go to dinner. We figured since we were near the "Petit Alep" we'd go there. The food is out of this world. Unfortunately they take vacation at the same time as construction workers.

In the end we went to a Pakistani restaurant on Decarie near Cote Vertu metro called Usmania Cuisine. At least that was on their receipt. They had pakora's on their menu and I thought, how can I go wrong with Pakora's? When they are cooked in fucking WHEAT FLOUR. It's supposed to be chickpea flour. WTF? This great gluten free treat fucking full of gluten. THe batter looked disgusting and I could tell instantly that it was wheat.  Their lentil soup was ok. Though I was asked if I wanted it mild, medium or spicy, and I asked for Spicy. It was NOT SPICY. I would have barely qualified it as medium.  I think they look at me with my white skin and red hair and think "She doesn't want spicy"

The service was ok, the food was edible. But I would not go back. When I think of my two favourite Indian places, Pushaps and Punjab... this place sucked.  Heck even Qwality Indian food on sources has better food, and edible pakoras.

On the positive side, since we went dress shopping on ST Hubert Street, we fabric shopped at our favourite 2 places. Marina's, and this other place a block over, that sells everything for $2.99.

I love Dennis Leary!

Yesterday I woke up at my friends place but had zero energy. I couldn't even get up with the alarm. I slept another 3 hours before I had the energy to call in sick. Spent half of the day either vegging or sleeping. Got home around 9:30 and managed to do 2 loads of laundry before crashing again.

I ended up catching a cold the week-end I helped Julia move. It's been bugging me as a sore throat on my right and right sore ear. It's been over a week. When it hurts I'm super phlegmmy.

One thing that always puts me in a good mood no matter what is Dennis Leary's skit, "My Kids". It's part of Lock &  load....

I HATE vanity sizing!

I really hate vanity sizing. When I was growing up I was wearing size 6 or size 8 and occasionally even size 10, especially for coats, because I have wide shoulders for my tiny frame.

Well after years of making my own clothes when I went back to buying clothes, I found that I was fitting in size 0, and sometimes even in 00. Back in the early 2000's I ended up weighing all of 90lbs for some time.

A few months at home and I lost most of the weight I'd put on 3-4 years ago, due to quitting smoking cigarettes and also taking Evista.  Most of the jeans I'd been buying were size 4, but they are too big on me.

So today I went to American Eagle Outfitters to try on some jeans. In the end I came home with Size 0 jeans. The size 2 I could pull off without unzipping or unbuttoning the jeans. That means after wearing them 30 minutes they will just fall down.

I find it offensive to be wearing size 0.  I'm not a waif or too skinny or unhealthy or look like a heroin addict. At 5'1" and 100lbs I had enough body fat to maintain a menstrual cycle. So I should not be a 0. I wish sizes were back to what I was wearing back in the day. Size 6 or 8.

Time to pack the kids and run!

Oh BOY Muslims are going to take over Texas. It's obvious! First they ask for a cemetery, and just wait a few months and soon Sharia law will be all over Texas, because Muslims are going to take over!!!

Read here:

I'm really scared. How long will it take before they come to Canada with their cemetery plots planning to take over our countries and our laws and replace them with Sharia!

/End Sarcasm. The idiocy of the American South has no bounds!!!

Feel less naked now

I went to Fido booth at Galerie des Sources to ask about my phone and I was told it was discontinued.  So I did a search on Kijiji for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Fido, and there was one ad that showed up Sunday, but it seemed the person was in Gatineau. As it turned out it was more of an error. I guess she put her street as Masson and it assumed Gatineau.  This is probably how I got lucky getting this phone. People assumed she was in Gatineau. Anyways, she sold me her functional phone for $140.  So now I have a phone again and feel so much better.

My friend met me at work with her 2 doggies to drive me to Rosemont to pick up the phone, near Masson and 1st avenue. Reminded me that my mom grew up in Rosemont and we used to visit my grandma's two sisters on 2nd avenue near Masson.

Suffering Withdrawal

I'm now suffering withdrawal from my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini! I still don't have a functional phone. These are my options:

1) Getting fixed = $500 or more
2) Buying a new one on Amazon unlocked = $350
3) Buying a 2nd hand one on Kijiji = $140 - $200
4) Getting another phone from Fido {not sure I'm ready to change phones]

For sure new phone could not be bigger then the Galaxy S4 mini!

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini screens in high demand?

So today I went to UBrokeitIfix it with my phone that no longer displays. I told the guy the problem and the model of the phone and he was like, the part for your phone is phenomenally expensive. He said, it would cost in excess of $500 for parts and labour. Suggested I get myself a new phone instead.

Now looking at buying a used functional Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. You wouldn't think it would be so expensive to get a phone fixed?!?!?!

I broke my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini

Last night when I got home from my friends house, my phone slipped from my hands when I was unlocking the door. Considering that I have an Otter box, I didn't think too much of it until I tried using it a bit later.

I broke the display. Now only displays in black. I looked on Kijiji, I found that for my phone they charge about $140 to fix the display. I can also get a used Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini between $160-200 on Kijiji. Have no clue what I will do.  I will also go to FIDO to see if they still sell the Galaxy S4 mini's  or  if I want a newer phone.

I had almost ordered a new battery for my Samsung Galaxy S4 mini yesterday on Amazon. I got as far as putting it on my shopping cart and then decided to think about it.  Well at least if I get a new phone I won't have a battery that does not match.

New Flavour of Covered Bridge chips!!!

When I went to Louise Gluten Free Friday, I noticed that they were carrying a flavour of Covered Bridge chips that I had never tried before. Sour Cream and Onion.  The bag is now empty. They were rather delicious.

Samsung Galaxy Ace II - and it's very DANGEROUS battery

Last Saturday I ordered a battery on Amazon for my friend. The battery for his Samsung Galaxy Ace II had been progressively inflating, to the point where his phone case was popping out.

When he first mentioned it, I strongly urged him to not put the phone in his pocket anymore, and to keep it in a fireproof area if he leaves it charging over night. I was afraid the battery would explode and catch on fire. If you Google search you will find house fires caused by the battery of this particular phone.

Of course places like Future Shop, Best Buy, The Source, and even possibly Staples, tell you they carry cell phone batteries. So do cell phone carriers. But usually they carry the batteries of recent models that they are currently selling. Rarely do they carry batteries for phones that are over a year old. If you go to 3-4 places and they keep telling you that they don't carry your battery, eventually you will cave in to the prospect of a new phone... which is what they kept offering him.    Battery arrived by mail Thursday night. Thankfully his phone survived the old battery, which is now put to pasture.

He's very happy with his new battery that cost all of  $15 including shipping, handling and taxes! A new phone would have been in the $200 range.

Louise, Gluten Free!

I've been to LOuise Sans Gluten [Or Louise Gluten free] twice now, two Tuesdays in a row. It's a small shop, bakery & restaurant that caters to gluten free people and diet. It's in Dorval on Dumont street. JUst a bit before the Dorval Circle.

I've bought so far, 1 loaf of their multigrain gluten free bread, and 1 package of gluten free buns. Their bread tastes decently and they don't use refined sugar, they use Honey.

I also found gluten free RAMEN. I can't remember the last time I had ramen soup. This is rice noodles with a Miso soup type mix. Can't wait to try it either camping or at a friends place when I need to bring quick food with me.

They also carry that delicious coconut/chocolate bar too!

I can't wait to try their baguettes. Apparently they make them Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Something tells me we will be going Friday!!!

Thoughts about Social Anxiety

Social anxiety. It's so many things. I'm looking at my life from a different point of view and asking myself why so many things "stress' me out.

I've never had my nails done. I go to the hair dresser every couple of years, with the exception of 2010 where I got my hair cut short twice. Once to join my eldest when she got hers cut for boot-camp, and later that summer since I was going to Lebanon, Syria and Jordan in September and since it was too short to be tied, I wanted it even shorter for that trip. The hair dresser is painful. I have very fine hair and a highly sensitive scalp. Having my mom brush my hair as a child was the bane of my existence. And when I cried she would remind me she was especially gentle having the same kind of scalp as I do. She would remind me that her mom was far more abrupt and rough combing her hair as a little girl and she survived. Either way, I really don't like having most people touch my hair never mind comb it. Though I must admit I had an ex who used to pet my hair like one pets a cat and I didn't mind it. Probably due to my cat like nature.

I don't like going to the dentist much and I have my teeth cleaned on average twice a year, but more like twice in 14 months. I hadn't seen a medical doctor in easily 5 years, not even for asthma meds, though I really should have them with me at all times. I've been seeing my therapist about every 4-6 weeks the past 5 years, except during my crisis this spring where I was seeing him every 2-3 weeks. I'm lucky too  my therapist's office is 5 minutes away from my home. This made it so much more accessible when I was totally crashed in spring.

Some people go to the store daily to pick up what they forget, I can go weeks without entering a store. I've been struggling with groceries, though I tend to do them most often during my lunch hour with a work colleague so I don't have to face the world alone. I seem to be able to handle shopping with others. Shopping alone, especially in crowded stores can set off my anxiety in the worst of ways.

The sad part is, I wasn't aware to the depth of what sets off my anxiety. I understand now why going to parties, get together and events stresses me out. Sadly I was with people who had large families and tons of get together and would really come down hard on me for not showing up to all these events, which drained me and made me crabby. Instead of being supported often I was chastised for not being sociable enough.

Healthy lunch

Today I had no lunch so I went to the IGA at  marche de l'ouest to pick up a salad and two fruits

It cost me almost $10. I can get a totally unhealthy lunch at McDonald's for $5. Crazy isn't it??????

I hate mornings.

Mornings can be EPICALLY difficult. Moreso when you aren't at home!

It's the 2nd time I sleep at my friends house and go to work straight from there. It's not too bad if I leave at 9am I am at work for 9:30, and there is not much traffic. Of course this is mid summer. I bet in winter will have to leave either far earlier or maybe even as late as 9:30.

I was really spacey while packing last night, and while I brought for my breakfast berries, nuts and cereal, I'd forgotten to bring the soy milk. No problem I thought, I have some at work. Left the nuts and berries at my friends place!

Other then that when I got dressed after bathing this morning, I realized I had not had the forethought of packing underwear. Thankfully I always have a spare underwear in my purse. Came in real handy this morning!

I mean change anything in my routine and chances are everything will screw up. Thankfully the cafeteria at work has delicious breakfast potatoes.

2015 is not a year for camping or canoeing it seems?

Well this past week-end I did not canoe or camp.  My friend and I were supposed to go camping & canoeing 3 days, but then things changed.  Not a bad thing, I didn't even have much energy at all. Spent most of the week-end vegging in bed listening to music.

We did go picnic with our Lafleurs at the Pierrefonds Marina. We saw a mom woodpecker and it's yearling hanging out different trees.  We did see a pair of ducks as well.

The one thing that I was happy to see was a couple with a toddler, put a canoe into the water there, and canoe off and it seemed to canoe ok. So this is another place to take the canoe for a quick ride.

Creepy doesn't begin to describe how I feel. YUCK!

Today I have been talking with the ex-wife of one of my exes. This is the ex that I refer to as LOSER-EX. Because he was just so nasty of a human being. One thing I am sure of now is that he was NO EMPATH and instead he was one hell of a narcissist. A crazy one.

By the time I'd left him for a year I started seeing how much of an emotional manipulator, lyer, cheater and abuser he really was. But it took time. Took easily years after I left to realize the effect this man had.

Other then manipulating my kids so that they wouldn't tell me when he screwed up. He'd bribe them with candies and other things. He'd stolen all my children's money from their piggy banks. He stole my eldest artistic masterpieces and kept them for himself so my daughter would feel unloved. The list goes on.

While talking to his ex wife [Poor thing had several kids with this idiot], I found out he'd been sleeping with his nasty, incontinent mother since he was 12.  He used to bitch about his mother, how nasty she was and the like. She stank to high heaven because she leaked pee. Everything she owned stank of piss. I didn't even want her to sit on my furniture it was so nasty.

I often did wonder why  he spent so much time with her, after claiming all this negative stuff. But then some people bitch about their mom, so I didn't analyze it. Now I'm not sure how I feel. Other then really really really really really grossed out. I feel I need a shower from now till Labour day.

This chocolate is CRACK!!!!

I fell in love with this chocolate when I tried it 2 months ago. Unfortunately if I have the whole bar in one sitting,  I'm guaranteed the runs. It seems I can have half the bar, 12 pieces, and be fine.
It's sad. I LOVED chocolate. Pregnant of Sam, I ate so much chocolate cake I put on 10lbs in one month. I had not had chocolate in some time.

It seems that I can tolerate the good stuff in small amounts.  This chocolate is divine. Everyone knows how.much I . loved nutella. Well this chocolate has hazelnut too, as well as pomegranates and the coconut milk and sugar make it beyond scrumptious.

Dragonfly seesaw

All the best plans don't always work out. I was supposed to go camping this weekend,  heck it was going to be a three day trip, I'd gotten Friday off. I left work Thursday at 3pm to go pick up my friend. I get there and he tells me change in plans. Daughter arriving back from camp a day earlier then anticipated.

So we did not go camping.  We spend a quiet night at my house so we could pick her up at Carrefour Angrignon at 1pm. We had breakie at Dejeuners Inc before heading to Lasalle. Last night we decided to come back here to go.canoeing today.  We also took.his daughter to the park... and this is when I noticed the cute dragonfly seesaw.

Today it's supposed to be spectacularly nice, we hope to go canoeing in Riviere des Mille Iles.

Reminds me of my youth

Most mornings I take Kingsley between Davignon and Sunnybrooke, which means I pass in front of what is now called "Spring Garden school", which I believe is now an integration school for children arriving in Canada. I noticed that they were adding pre-fabs the past week.

Just seeing the prefabs brought me back to the early 70's and Gerald McShane school on Maurice Duplessis in Montreal North. My mom sent me there, to challenge me, because it was a big school and it was also one of them new fangled "Open area" schools.  Each grade had one large room that was subdivided in 6 classrooms. One was generally kept to be used for arts the other 5 were filled with desks and the rooms were separated by shelves and partitions. The noise levels in these rooms was phenomenal. I used to go home from that school frazzled. Over stimulated au max!

The reason my mom sent me to Gerald McShane was because out of the 5x25 or so kids in each level, we would be divided for English and Math classes by skill level. So I was challenged on those levels. we had 10 or 12 classes for math and English. Usually the teacher would get a highly skilled group, and a less skilled group. They would show work to the skilled student and let them work on it while explain stuff to the less skilled students.

Anyways, the other thing I remember about Gerald McShane was the Pre-Fabs... 70's style. They were ugly, they stank, and it was also too hot in June and September, and freezing from November to March. We used to get our French lessons in the prefabs, and instead of desks it was those stupid chairs with a little tablet which doesn't take into account some people might be left handed?!?!!

They are fixed

Both the dishwasher and the washing machine were fixed on Monday finally.

Monday we all used the washing machine.  I even put 4 loads of laundry outside on the line. Was not lucky, it rained buckets several times.  Was going to go home at lunch to put away laundry except there was heavy rainfall.

Instead we went to "Louise Sans Gluten" in Dorval. Picked up a multigrain loaf. So far so good, had a grilled  cheese goat brie sandwich yesterday.  Yum. They apparently make baguettes that are out of this world.

No Consent equals rape....

Bill Cosby used to have a routine about date-rape. It makes things even more creepy, to realize that someone most of us admired is just a creepy rapist who doesn't even realize he's a RAPIST!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is for some people to get the concept of consent!!!

Great fabric finds at Value Village

There was a 50% sale at Value Village on clothes and linens, of which fabric is part of. So two Sundays ago I ended up picking up 4 pieces of fabric, at ridiculously low prices. Now trying to get the smell of moth balls out of the fabric

The red fabric is some type of satin polyester, of which there was 1.5 meters, it was originally $2.99 so $1.50. The plaid fabric was a thick cotton flannel, of which there was 1.5 meters, originally $4.99. so $2.50. The pink lacy knit print had 2 meters and it was originally $5.99, so $3.00. The last of the fabrics was a pink and white cotton/spandex knit, of which there was 5 meters and it was originally $12.99.  So $6.50.  Normally a nice cotton knit is about $15 per meter.  So getting 5 meters for $6.50 is a steal. I can make easily 3, yes 3 dresses with this knit fabric!!!!

Severe lack of Women in some professions!

When I went to Concordia in Computer Science back in the 1980's I was in the 5-10% of women in that program.

The sad thing is, things really haven't changed much. Some engineering programs may have from 15-20% women, but that's the most they might have.  There are now more women in computer science especially in black box programming... maybe 40%

And then I read an article that there was a BOYS ONLY robotics program offerered in an Ontario public library. I get that many girls might not be interested but to make it boys only?????  I was so unimpressed.

Well thankfully one little girl and her mom started a petition and now girls can join. BUT WTF? I would have fought to make that program gender free no matter what!!!!

A couple of days in Kingsbury!

Just spent an awesome couple of days in Kingsbury.  We went canoeing in the marsh twice and even spent a night camping on the other side of the Marsh.  Hardly any mosquitoes. Just a few horse flies during the day in the sun.

Sadly I remember my buddy Rick on Canada day. It's been already 4 years. Time passes by quickly.

Canoeing!!!!!!

Finally went canoeing today for the first time in 2015. Despite bringing my canoe to my camping trip to Mastigouche in late May, I never got to canoe.

Was so happy to go canoeing today!  We went to the beaver dam on one side of the Marsh and then took a walk through a path in the marsh. There was a lot of mosquitoes along the trail. On the way back we saw 5 turkey vultures in a dead tree. Reminded me of Lucky Luke books.

Custody

I suppose my therapist should be happy with my progress. I am leaving the house. So much so that....

I get a text message from my friend who lives with me on Friday asking who has custody of me today, person A or person B.  Admittedly, it's been like that all week.  Tuesday night & Wednesday spent with person A, and then Thursday evening spent with person B, Friday night with person A and Saturday afternoon with person B moving them.

I've been home so little that it took until tonight for me to spot my friends son. Who has been in my house since Sunday night! When he lived with us until last summer, I would either trip into him or at least hear him.   Today I referred to him like they do on nature shows "The wild Zach is hard to spot in foreign habitats. He tends to congregate in basements to play video games"

Supreme Court in US makes Gay Marriage legal!!!

It's in, finally Gay Americans can wed in any state!!!  It's funny there's a trend of Americans tweeting that they will pack the car and move to Canada. Gotta love how well they know their neighbours to the north.  We have had marriage equality for 10 years now.

Others who want to get away from ObamaCare, also tweeting that they want to come to Canada. Sometimes the ignorance south of the border is of EPIC proportions. How can a country who calls itself the greatest country in the world have so many CLUELESS people. Boggles the mind of this Canadian!

Have to wait till Tuesday!!!

So the Maytag or Whirlpool repairman came this morning, and figured out that the pump to get water in the dishwasher was dead, and the pump to get water out of the clothes washer is dead.  Between the two of them, the parts, the service it will cost about $450 dollars. Sadly he did not have parts in stock so he has to come back Tuesday to fix the machines.  But at least starting on Tuesday we will have both a washer and a dishwasher!!!

Social Anxiety? Really?

Considering how much social anxiety I had back in March, and days where I could not leave the house I'm doing great.

Heck Yesterday not only this I accompany my friend furniture shopping, but I also went with her wedding dress shopping. She is getting married in Fall 2016, and well it's never too early to start figuring out what dress you want, and what styles suit you.Tomorrow afternoon I will be going over to help her move. She's moving from Verdun to first avenue in Lasalle.

Today finally we have a repairman that is coming over to fix both the washing machine and the dishwasher. THe dishwasher has been dead since I kicked out my last boyfriend, where as the washing machine just died.  Hopefully it won't cost me too much and both machines will work for some time afterwards. My youngest is home waiting for the repairman and will message me or call me so I can come and pay the bill.

Later today I'm going to spend time with my new friend.  The most stunning thing about it, is that I like to cuddle with him, for hours, and I even like when he holds me tight overnight.   I guess sometimes all you need is the right person.

Bonus the cuddling is good for my stress and social anxiety!

Consent explained with cartoons

I liked the consent explained with tea, Now found another explained with everything situations.

Not that I am having problems with consent, but have had in the past and I don't know one woman who doesn't sadly have to navigate though this minefield at some point in her life.

Microsoft does not make it easy for beta testers

In the current beta's of windows 10, Microsoft ignores completely when you check to say "No, let me choose what to do" and "NEVER install driver software from Windows updates" the display driver installs within 2 minutes of being on the network.

Do you have any idea how IRRITATING it is to validate a beta display driver, when it takes about 20 reboots to install. Half of the time I cannot install fast enough, the "in-the-box" driver installs, and installs, and installs.

If I'm not extra cautious I'll end up validating a WHQL certified driver instead of the one I was asked to test.

Wouldn't it be helpful if Microsoft actually made windows functionality work?

Anxiety, stresses, Oh My!

Things still aren't going easily. Still having to go through hoops to get simple things done. After a while I just want to not have to deal with all of this crap.

Life has never been easy for me and of late it seems like someone keeps pissing on my parade, putting sticks in my bike spokes... it's just frustrating and infuriating.

I hate banks, I hate dealing with banks. There are stupid arbitrary rules that will just drive me CRAZY...

My anxiety has been bad the past few days and I keep forgetting to take supplements that would help me manage my stress.

Though this week I'm technically back at work full time, as it turns out, Tomorrow is a holiday so it's still a 4 day week for me.

Please let me get through this day and gets things resolved!!!

2015 is turning out to be a fucked up year

That week-end could not end fast enough. Hopefully most of the bad stayed there.

Between washing machine dying, lawn mower parts staying in my hands when I start it, and a slew of other problems, this was a horrible week-end.

Hell... my friends didn't even make it to Lac Vert.   Almost all routes to Lac Vert in the municipalite of Lac Ste Marie, have been damaged. One route  on wooden platform was completely destroyed 2 years ago with a Tornado.. [probably same time frame as the tornado that destroyed the wooden platform of l'ile aux juifs].

Other routes seemed to be either flooded or full of large downed trees.  From my understanding though my friends never made it on to Lac Vert, there is one 2km portage trail that makes it however, their 90lb wooded canoe was too much for that long trek.  THIS IS VERY SUCKY.   Lac vert and that area were part of my friends best camping spots. I had gotten hooked too and was planning another trip there for August.

I dunno what other Gods I've angered other than the canoe Gods. But it would be nice if things started to work out.   This morning other then all the other stuff I have to deal with , I have to call a Maytag repair man as my washing machine DIED on Saturday....in the rinse cycle of my 2nd load. I had 3 loads of laundry to do.

The only good thing to have happened so far in 2015, is I met a new friend in late April, and not on Plenty of Fish.  Not going to say much more except we have a nice time together.

Note: This is the 2000th blog post since 2006....

Comes the Dawn

It's been a long time since I read this, and needed it today:

Comes the Dawn

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,
And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,
And you begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises,
And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head held high and your eyes open,
With the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child.
You learn to build your roads
On today because tomorrow's ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have
A way of falling down in mid-flight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine
Burns if you get too much,
So you plant your own garden and decorate
Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure,
That you really are strong
And that you really do have worth
And you learn and you learn...,
With every goodbye you learn.

I've angered the canoe Gods.

Yesterday morning, in anticipation of a canoe excursion in the Riviere des Milles Iles, I managed to be out of the house at 7:30. The only problem is that when I got outside to my truck, I realized I'd left my purse inside the house.  I was now outside without a car key or without a house key.

On a normal day, Debbie would have been home, but she is currently in New Brunswick visiting with her daughter and youngest son, and possibly Izzy, who's been staying with me since she got back from the UK, but she was already gone to work.

I called Izzy, who called her boss, who showed up within 15 minutes and was nice enough to lend her truck, so Izzy could come and go more quickly then by bicycle. I was at work by 8:30. Sadly the idea was that I wanted to be at work for 8am.

The friend I was to canoe with,  has been experiencing issues charging his phone, and yesterday morning it decided it just wasn't going to charge. His efforts to find backup battery failed till close to 2pm. I was expecting to pick him up at 3pm at Fairview.  That didn't happen. He managed to borrow a phone battery by 2 something to at least message me so I didn't go to Fairview for nothing.

So I went to pick him up at home. By the time we got back to my place, it was moot to go canoeing, it was already past 5pm. Would take an hour to get to the park to put the canoe in water, would not have given us more than 2 hours and really it's not worth it.

So for the 2nd time this year an attempt to go canoeing was tharved.  But I haven't given up. Today is another day.

On a positive note, it's the 20th of June and only the past few days have I been sneezing at dusk and dawn a bit but nothing more. The honey has been phenomenal

Windows 10 hell

I'm back at work and stuck in Windows 10 hell.

I'm not even going to say how I feel about this OS. Except for the fact it will be free and auto-update for everyone.  But I think this OS is being deployed free because it's a good way to spy on all of us. All those agencies like CSIS and NSA probably have all sorts of back door.

Anything free makes me really suspicious.

Anyways, I'm in Windows 10 hell. It's all I'm doing. Installing, testing, breaking. Freaking!

Hopefully it's sunny later today and I can go canoeing with my new friend  :)

Oh Honey

Since March, I've been having a teaspoon of honey a day. At first it was apple blossom honey. Now it's a spring flower honey.

Until a few days ago I showed no signs of having seasonal allergies. Today though not only do I have the raw throat, the stuffy nose but I have lots of tightness in my chest. Will be taking some buckleys.

Will have to keep looking into the honey and figure out what honey to eat when and avoid allergies in the future as well. I usually have the teaspoon of honey just before a big  breakfast, so the sugar wakes me up  but other foods prevents any crash.

Dragonfly batik dress

Back in April,  when Nina and I were coming back from her place she stopped to take me to the club tissu in St Hubert. It is much bigger then the one in laval. I went to the quilters area and asked if she had any dragonfly prints. She says no but Nina finds one. Clerk then remembers and pull out several

The one that caught my eye us a purple blue batik. This was back in mid April.  Decided last week which dress to make and sewed it this week. Hell bought the zipper Tuesday at lunch! Very pleased with how this dress came out.

I really love Monsieur Falafel!

I love the Monsieur Falafel on St Jean blvd in DDO. I was introduced to Mr Falafel  back in the 1990's by a friend. At the time it was the one on Mont Royal.  I had Falafel for the first time and was hooked.

I was thrilled when I moved to Pierrefonds 15 years ago, that  there is a Mr Falafel, walking distance. Though I rarely walk it, I can, if I am stuck so love it.

I don't go as frequently as I used to, but I've gone enough that the regular staff and owners know me.  We went there today to pick up lunch and the two employees were two I've been seeing for 15 years.   SO much so that the older gentleman said it was nice to see me and asked how I was. He even asked if my co-worker was with me, and when I said, yes we came together, gave her a nice discount on her lunch, as he did for me.

The item I always get from them is what they call the "vegetarian sandwich". What you find in it is a little omelette with veggies, grilled cauliflower, grilled eggplant, a few batata harra {Lebanese spicy potatoes}, and then all the cold seasonings, like tomatoes, lettuce, red pickled turnips, onions and I always ask for hot peppers.

No other Lebanese fast food generally offers veggie sandwiches other then falafel. The veggie sandwich at Mr Falafel is good, really good.  I will chose a Mr Falafel fast food, over Basha's and Amir's any day.

Pink dress

I finished this one early May.It was made with a NewLook pattern and some cheap fabric I picked up for $1.99 a meter on St Hubert street. It's a stretch poly cotton.  I will be making other version of this dress as I really like how it fits.

Judge dismisses Occupiers court battle over the legality of Branding Protesters

Back in November 2011 when Occupy Montreal was dismantled, the SPVM arrested some of the Occupiers.  What happened is that people were UV tagged and never told. Apparently big brother can do anything and face no consequences.

Judge dismisses Occupiers court battle over the legality of Branding Protesters

I woke up this morning to an E-mail from the Lawyer who graciously represented me and two fellow occupiers in court appearances vs. the City of Montreal.  To say that I felt let down and betrayed by the legal system as I read that the entire case had been dismissed and that we would now have to pay the court fees would be an understatement.  Fees I have no idea how I will repay.

When we took up this battle upon the wishes of other occupiers we knew we could face the consequences of losing.  We knew there would likely be no form of compensation awarded.  I was OK with these things; I fought so that my voice would be heard.  I fought for those who were affected by the disgusting branding protocol of the SPVM.  I had thought that a judge would say that writing on people with the intent of subterfuge; that marking us with invisible ink while our hands were tied behind our backs was wrong.  I thought that lying to us about it would be deemed equally wrong.  I was banking on that acknowledgement and nothing more.  I think this is why my disappointment stings so deeply.
For those who do not know the story, I was a protester at Occupy Montreal in 2011 who remained on site during the eviction to stand up for my beliefs.  I was angered at the time that the city would change their bylaws to get rid of their “protester problem”, a tactic we were privileged to witness time and time again throughout the “Printemps Erable” and the student protests of later years.  I stayed knowing full well that I was going to be arrested; and that was the point.  I was willing to be arrested to prove my point.  I was in a public place exercising my right to freedom of speech; I felt I had every right to be in Parc Square Victoria.  What I wasn’t banking on was the treatment I received, and while I negotiated with the officers who led me away to be gentle, that I would co-operate; this didn’t follow though to the female officers I was handed to for processing and this is where everything began to go wrong.

I was questioned and handcuffed with my hands behind my back and led to a bus.  In the entrance to the bus I had one officer speaking to me and another one behind me who wrote on my hand with what felt like a marker.  I then felt a sharp metallic point scraping on my skin on the opposite hand.  It felt WRONG and put me in a panic. I asked, “What are you doing?” as wild thoughts ran though my head of “what did I just get myself into?”.  The officer told me she wrote on me with a pen as if challenging me to dispute her.  Feeling like I was in over my head, I decided to keep quiet and complacent until my release where I discovered no pen marks, only a red blotchy rash on my hand that I had felt the metallic scraping on. Later after the advice from a friend, I checked my hands under a black light and was horrified to see I had invisible ink on the hand that I felt the scraping on, the same hand that was having some sort of allergic reaction. I tried calling the SPVM to find out what it was only to be given the run-around before I was told there was no information and hung up on.

When the story of what happened went viral after my blog post was shared around the world people began to ask that we take this to court.  In the end I agreed, wanting to fight for the many people who wrote to me concerned and especially those who wrote to me saying they had this done to them at later protests.

In October 2014, nearly 3 years since the eviction of Occupy Montreal I found myself in court with two fellow occupiers taking on the City of Montreal and the SPVM regarding their questionable practices. What I learned while there was eye-opening as well, and aggravating.  I learned that the hand branding was a procedure the SPVM had been using since 2009, two years before Occupy Montreal.  I learned that it was used to “surprise protesters” as they were worried that protesters were giving false names like “The Tooth Fairy” and worried that they would swap identities in the holding tank.  I learned that it was part of their protocol to brand us with invisible ink while our hands were tied behind our back, often while being distracted as I had been.  They were told to deny anything, all in the aims of keeping it secret so they had this tool to “one up” protesters.  They maintained that this practice was a practical and convenient way to control protesters.  They likened their tactic to that of a bar stamping patrons with glow in the dark ink, stating that consent isn’t needed to write on our bodies; that the charter of rights is “not absolute”, that it “needs to be expected that exceptions need to be made”.  All these things I learned angered me and left me feeling betrayed and after everything is said and done consent is everything; not to mention the UV “Pen” was nothing like a stamp at a bar.
All of that was in the end, unnecessary.  I had provided them with photo ID.  They photographed me as well (a practice done more to be able to link protesters to crimes found in you tube videos).  The black permanent marker took me 3 days of scrubbing to remove from my skin and the invisible ink more than a week to start to fade. The ultra violet ink and the subterfuge that went with it, all the lies and pretending was all unneeded. It was also pointed out while in court that the invisible numbers were in place to try and catch us red-handed in the days after being arrested, a way to pin future infractions on us.  I can’t help but feel this was part of a plan to intimidate us protesters and in a way I feel they succeeded in this goal as the two fellow occupiers I went to court with and myself  have ceased protesting altogether since Occupy Montreal.  A number of the others who were arrested that day also left behind their protesting careers and this fact makes me sad and ashamed of myself for giving up the fight.

I learned many other interesting things while in court; confirmations that they did indeed have a team watching our livestream and social media groups, that they were following and profiling who they thought were key figures of the protest on social media and while we were at square Victoria, even long after the eviction date.  It was plainly said in court that they treated the eviction like a riot, not the peaceful demonstration that it was. They came prepared for 300 arrests and failed to alter their tactics when we were a small group of 16. They had 10 officers for every protester on site.  We were detained for over an hour on the bus for a municipal infraction that they could have easily have sent us a ticket in the mail for. They specifically altered the rules of the Square Victoria in order to have grounds to expel us from the site. To think that our name and Identity are unimportant, that what matters is the number we were branded with to render us into a statistic, it leaves me feeling rather much like they treat us protesters like cattle and not like human beings.

In the end the judge ruled that it’s within police protocol to brand us with numbers without our consent and the most terrifying thing is the fact that this case will be reflected on for all future cases of this nature.  This decision sets precedent.  Where can the lines be drawn, what is a step too far across the line?  It’s frightening that these liberties were taken at a municipal level.  What truly is next?  I feel the instant that I was written on and then lied to was a step way too far over the line; that my body had been violated, my trust doubly so.  I have stood meekly waiting for this all to come to an end and now am starting to feel the fire in my belly once again. Their attempts to silence me have ended today and I call out to all of you who read this essay to the very end to share my experience and the outcome with anyone you feel ought to know. They had the power of subterfuge, if the general public knows; we remove some of that power.

Funky silk scarves

The past few months one of the many challenges that I had was to make sure I was not going to start smoking cigarettes again.I had been buying silk scarves at value village to wrap Tarot decks in and at some point ended wearing a rectangular one around my neck. That's when I realized that I could use a silk scarf as a distraction.  I could play with it. While I do that i don't smoke cigarettes.

Out of the current collection only the burgundy one belonged to my mom.  There's two hand painted ones that were gifts from Nina. The rest all come to me via value village.  Many of them are hand painted and are signed. Two of them are far thicker and silkier.

The two on the right were gifts. All these are hand painted.
All value village finds.
The left one comes from my mom. It's a Remoy D'Urville handpainted from Paris.
All Value Village finds. Love the one most right. Goes perfect with a funky hoody
The left one is from The Toronto Jazz festival. Love the green leopard print on the right
Boring ones, but adds to an outfit anyways.

Still alive.

It is my 2nd week back at work. The first happened without too much hassles.

There's a lot going on in my life in terms of fuck ups but I'd rather not talk about them in my blog.

What's for sure is that 2015 will be a strange year. With the good, the bad and the Ugly.

For today it's all I'm saying because my eyes are totally blood shot and leaking. Looks like I went to a 420 gathering and need visine.

New dress

I finished the dress May 22nd. I'm disappointed because it's a little big. It would fit perfectly if I had not lost 10 lbs since last year. Still pleased with it. Yes..it's cotyon and needs ironing.

New vans... eeek

About a month ago I went shopping with my youngest daughter at Carrefour laval and stopped at the Vans store.

Had to bring home 2 pairs. The flowery pair to wear with dresses and the grey green pair is like the grey pink pair. Super padded for skateboarding. Love them
Love them with dresses
Awesome skater shoes!

Back to Work

As of Monday June 1st I'm back to work. Not full time for the next 2 weeks but back. Insurance refused my claim because it was not backed by a medical doctor just a psychologist.  I have till August to get rectification. But at the moment it's left me very broke.

When I looked at a private doctor, I was asked $1500 up front on credit card, with an appointment 3 weeks later. That set off my anxiety in a bad way. I mean we have 10 days in Quebec to cancel a contract.   Paying 21 days before an appointment made me very very weary. What if I didn't like the doctor?

I tried calling the doctor I was seeing back in 2007-2008, and finally she accepted seeing me again, at the end of June. It's scary.  If you are well and don't see your family doctor they stop keeping you as a patient!!!!!  So you have to see  your doctor regularly to keep it.  Isn't that the world upsidedown?  It wasn't like that when I was a kid. Your doctor was happy to rarely ever see you but he didn't drop you as a patient?!?!?!?!

My first day of work was fraught with lots of emotional up and downs. I have paperwork that's really late and it's biting me in the ass in ways I would not have believed.

At least my social anxiety is bearable at the moment.  I have to thank all  my friends and family that have been supportive and helped me get better.  Special thanks to my ex husband Samer, who has been there for me to fill out forms I couldn't, to my friends in Kingsbury that have helped me get out of the house and feel better about myself and to my roomate, who puts up with me, through thick and thin. Last but not least to my youngest daughter who's been back home for the past month. Those not mentioned individually are still  appreciated in a giant way.  I love you all very much. I may not say it much, but I really do.

Today is my 2nd day back to work and hopefully it will be less anxiety & stress causing then the first. Don't get me wrong, everyone at work was superb. Between the lady in HR, that I know and worked with for many years, and my boss who has been my boss for over 15 years, they really made me feel like a valued employee and where helpful in my reintegration. My boss had asked the guys I work with to give me space on my first day and they did. I know that I am well loved at work by my colleagues and that when they come to see me it's because they care.   Monday I hid in my area most of the day, and only a few migrated to me.  Today, I will come in and actually go see people I usually see, and that will help a bit with the anxiety.

The stupid thing about social anxiety is that if you don't make efforts to get out of your comfort zone it gets worse and worse and worse. The main thing my therapist has wanted me to do while I was off work was to get out of the house. Just do things outside my comfort zone no matter how small.  I have been  and so far so good.

One of the things that happened also in the past few months is that my Cape Breton bubble has been burst. I had a dream and it's just gone poof.  Reality sucks. Reality has a funny way of making dreams no longer a reality. Which makes the future appear really scary and grim.

Brilliant. Consent explained with tea!

Saudi Arabia's most powerful women & powerful women in Islam!

I often make fun of KSA because of their backwards attitude towards women. However it does not mean that in KSA there are no powerful women that young women world wide can look up to.

Here is article showing Saudi Arabia's most powerful women.

Those ignorant about Islam often think it's the religion that keeps women subjugated. Nothing could be further from the truth. Women are supposed to be equals in Islam but this gets lost in the post colonialism mentally prevalent in the Middle east,  as well as some parts of  Africa today.

A great article about Mohammed's wife Khadijah that I read a few days ago shows how Mohammed in his life time not only married a woman 15 years his elder because he loved her but obviously treated her with a great deal of respect. A month ago there was an article about her on Huff Post about 7 remarkable things about Khadijah. For those who want to bring up his youngest wife, "Aisha", I'd like to point them to this article.

Mind your own business

I can't help but think about the douche I dated last May for some reason. It doesn't help that he's one of those who keeps trying. Last message I got from him was from February and it was still a message meant to get a reaction. Like move on already. You didn't even like me!!!! All you wanted to do was to tell me about things that were wrong about me!!!!

This blog post I found on a friends wall is the perfect thing to send him, should he ever message me again.

Though this morning this blog isn't loading for me on any browser or any computer, I hope it's just a being me glitch and it will load later. I figured it would load on my mobile, but it's not loading there either. wth? Loads a blank page even in my mobile on chrome.

Bottom line is most of what other people do is none of your business. Like my diet, is no ones business but mine so long as I'm healthy and neither starving or 900lbs. How I spent my money is no one's business but mine, my sleep habits are no ones business but mine... you get the gist.

This is the list:

1) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE’S FOOD CHOICES.

2) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE’S WALLETS.

3) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S CRUSHES

4) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S SEX LIVES

5) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S EXERCISE HABITS.

6) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S SUCCESS

7) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S SICKNESSES

8) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S PURCHASES

9) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEFS

10) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BAD HABITS

11) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S STYLE

12) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S RELATIONSHIPS

13) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S FAILURES

14) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S SEXUALITY

15) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S TIME

16) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S CIRCLE OF FRIENDS

17) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BLING AND INK

18) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S BELIEF IN MARRIAGE

19) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S PARENTING

20) GET YOUR NOSE OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S GENEROSITY

I tend to like people who live and let live.  As adults we can chose how to live our lives. It drives me nuts that there's a segment of society that want to regulate every aspect of everyone's lives. Like what I do in my home  is no one's business. Who I live with is no one's business either!

If you don't like how I live my life, don't interact with me. I sure won't miss you!!!

Unimpressed by Bell.

For the past 3 months now  Bell's  collection department has been calling my house to collect on a bill that is not under my name.  Someone used my address for their cell phone, and now Bell thinks it's OK to spam me 4-8 times a day with an automated call.

Anyone who knows me knows that hearing the phone ring sets off my anxiety most of the time, thanks to someone who called me repeatedly in a drunken stupor and left asinine messages on my machine and other times just lambasted me for no particular reason.

So I've been home and this non stop calling was driving me bonkers, so for  my sanity and peace of mind I had the BELL  home phone off the hook for the better part of the last 3 weeks.

I put the phone back online because my eldest wanted to talk to me yesterday and today  I just happened to pick up the phone really pissed off and Bell asked for someone who wasn't me. I  told them there was no one by that name on my phone number.  They asked if I knew the person I told them NO. I told them to stop abusing my fucking phone number. I hope they don't start up again in a week or two.

This is very cool

It's even cooler because it's from Tesla Motors, and anyone who knows me knows I'm a fan of Nicola Tesla.

This Powerwall Tesla Home battery

If there is one thing I learned during the Montreal Icestorm of 1998, that we are way too dependent on the grid and that we should have alternative sources of electricity, heating, cooking so when there is no electricity, from the Power company, I'm not in pitch darkness in the cold, eating out of a can.

My baby is coming home !!!!

Today I pick up my youngest at the airport, she's coming home after 2 years in the UK WOOT

I've been very quiet the month of April, really didn't have much to say, been digesting events and trying to get myself together.I've at least managed to stay out of my comfort zone to not make my social anxiety worse. It's still bad thinking about work and paperwork, but the anxiety isn't 24/7 and burning me to a crisp most days anymore.  I'm slowly getting back to my insomniac self.

It was sad, I'd do 1 small thing that set off my anxiety and then I'd crash and have to take a huge nap otherwise I couldn't function.  On a good day social anxiety does suck up a percentage of my energy. Since March it's sucking up most of my energy and nothing is left for anything else.

This week thankfully the sun came out and I have both done some work in the garden and have gone walking along the Lachine canal and Friday spent some time at the bird Sanctuary near the Lachine Rapids.  Spending time soaking in sun rays and sitting on the earth has been good to recharge my batteries.
