It is my 2nd week back at work. The first happened without too much hassles.
There's a lot going on in my life in terms of fuck ups but I'd rather not talk about them in my blog.
What's for sure is that 2015 will be a strange year. With the good, the bad and the Ugly.
For today it's all I'm saying because my eyes are totally blood shot and leaking. Looks like I went to a 420 gathering and need visine.

Is it Monday again?
It's been a while since I've been moodier then the temperature.
I've also just realized that while work forces me to take 2 weeks vacation at Christmas, most of this time will be spent alone as most of the people I know already have plans or are busy during that period of time.
I should have planned myself a trip but there was too many unknowns and I hate unknowns. So like usual I painted myself into a corner and now I'm feeling down and unloved because I did that. Nothing new really.
You'd think with age and forethought things would end different but I suppose I'm crazy thinking that if I keep doing the same thing something will change.
But apparently I'm just crazy.
It's a gloomy Monday of course.
Crazier to think that my friend will find time for me on week-ends. And I believe him each time he says he will, and when he doesn't I feel all defeated. . I spent all week-end anticipating for nothing. Then on Monday I feel like a fool. How many times can I be fooled? I'm just as gullible as when I was a kid and the adults used to make fun of me.
The other way to be is to believe nothing and think everyone is just an asshole.....
Either way it paints me like an idiot. What kind of fool believes? Me obviously. What a fool I am.

Another Monday another dollar
I'm sure I've mentioned I hate Monday mornings. It looks dreary but that maybe just because the sun hasn't risen high enough to look light yet.
This week-end was too short, what with all the cooking. I did manage to sneak away for a few hours to go walk in Bois de Liesse with my new friend. Was nice, despite fact it rained buckets on Saturday we managed to walk during the dryest part of the day. We mostly walked in an area of Bois de Liesse that I'm not familiar with. I usually walk at the other end of Ruisseau Bertrand.
My dinner was a success. Way too much food to feed everyone :) Now tonight I have to freeze some of the food for later consumption to make sure it all stays ok.
I so don't want to go to work today. I will spend all day recabling my benches. I also have to remember to wear shoes that aren't slippery on waxed floors. On the positive side, if I get bored I can always slide on the floor.

New batch of interns today
This summer I'm only allowed 3 interns because some moron manager in another division asked for an unrealistic number of interns, so the guy deciding cut everyone's numbers drastically. Even those who had realistic numbers. So despite needing 6 interns I got 3. I'm not stressing out over it, in fact I'm just going to take all my vacation this summer. Not going to stress over the fact I'm short staffed during vacation time.
I'm praying that because we lack quantity that we will get quality. I had one intern that finished 2 weeks ago, that I never want to see again. I've never seen anyone want to work but do anything but the tasks assigned. Or to do them in such a way that he's completely unproductive and leave a huge mess behind. The funny part is how clueless he was. A couple of weeks before his stage was over he asks me if he can use me as a reference and I answer "I'm not sure you want to do that, I'm very honest and you may not like my answers". And he looked at me completely puzzled. Read between the lines. He fucked up bad and I gave him a chance to redeem himself in another job without adding my 2 cents. I hope he does better in that job, because his career in engineering isn't going to go particularly far.

The water gods absolutely hate me
So it was just a little bit past midnight. CSI Miami had just started. The "Caruso one-liner'" tonight was "Here we go" followed by the who screaming.
I had just been thinking about an old photo from when I was in University and decided to go scan it. Well I walked into the basement and low and behold there is water... My hotwater tank seemed to have sprung a leak. The fact that those who installed my furnace blocked partial access to the drain didn't help. Water was covering the floor of most of the basemetn at least 1-3cm. Got my eldest downstairs to give me a hand. She was pushing water with a giant squeegee towards the fold room where the sump pump is so it would drain there, and I was pushing it back into the drain in the furnace room, once I freed the drain from the border blocking it. I also picked up 2 buckets full by towels and sponge mop. I'm tired. I'm crabby.
This was around 12:11am... Officially on Monday.. What a way to start a Monday.. .It's close to 3am and I'm still not sleeping. I'm hoping that the valve I closed is right and it's going to keep the water from leaking into the furnace room. I'll deal with the water damage tomorrow.

It's officially a monday
I walked down the stairs this morning, and on the main landing, right in front of the front door was wood chips galore. I had planted some tiger lilies yesterday and they came in a bag of wood chips. Normally I can leave a bag of wood chips in another bag near the entrance and nothing happens to it. But I'd bet Sam's whiny cat, thought "Hmmm something to play with".
There was a trail of wood chips up and down both the stairs to upstairs and to downstairs. THere were wood chips through the dining room on the carpet, and in the main entrance... So I here I was with the mini vacuum picking up wood chips before 8am.
I HATE VACUUMS. I hate the noise and the dust they make. UGH.

Monday night, time for...
Yep, you guessed it.... the Caruso one-liner for tonight is "Neither will his killer".
It's still stormy out. It's still super windy, I can hear the squealing of the gizmo on my roof.
