I bought some new bra's from American Eagle Outfitters. I've taken to buying them online because they online carry my size 32D online. I've been buying Brooke bra's from Aerie for about 5 years now and love the fit.

So when they had a red one for Christmas I bought it. I did NOT EXPECT boning right under my breasts? Who needs boning there? The boning tends to make the bra want to go in whereas my rib cage wants to go in the other direction. Last night I attempted removing them. I managed to unsew the boning but will have to cut it off the bra, and refinish 2 seams.

Still WHO THE HELL PUTS BONING UNDER THE BREASTS?????

So a woman in a NIQAB would have to remove it to get services in a hospital but I'm forced to put a surgical mask on while waiting in the same hospital room because of my nasty asthma cough that people think is contagious!

And what of my PAB Boyfriend. Right now if he's dealing with an infectious patient he needs to don a mask. But with this law, he wouldn't be allowed in a room with a patient without the patient seeing his face....

Also will I be able to wear said surgical mask in the bus or metro? Some people with weak immune system do this on a regular basis but they would be breaking the law!

And surgeons, will they be allowed the full covering during surgery? It's not allowed in hospitals to give AND receive services! I mean who knows my surgeon might be a Muslima hiding in hospital scrubs because she can't wear her burka!

Ask yourself this, how many women wear a Bukra or Niqab in Quebec. Maybe 50-100. Is it really such a big fucking deal? 

Really DDO?

Another brilliant idea by DDO. Who was the moron who thought it was a good idea to make Spring Garden single lane at Kingsley?   This way there can be a 20 car line up at 8 in the morning when the crossing guard is there.   Because if you cannot turn left you prevent EVERYONE else in the line from moving forward.

At least before you could be 2 cars. If the car in front of you was turning left, you could avoid them by the right to go straight or turn right. If they thought it would make it safer for the children. not so much if there's 100's of cars....

I always wonder who's in charge of the streets in DDO. They make some of the most moronic decisions ever.

There's some bitch out there called Sue that is using my Gmail to sign up to tons of coupons and promotion sites. I've been added to over 20 sites since Saturday morning.

People must think very little of me...

They can't be bothered to return my house keys.....

First it was the homeless ex, who took over 1 year to return my house keys. By the time he did I'd changed the locks.   Then my moved out in October, it's now 8 months later, she still has the keys.  

Then I fired my cleaning lady... who didn't even have the keys on her,,, and though it's been over a month, she also hasn't returned the fucking keys. You'd think she would she's still owed $60 and that normally makes a big difference in her budget.

I lost my own house keys a few months ago and I figured why remake more keys when I already have some in circulation.

I'm not going to be begging anyone to return my fucking keys.   I'll be buying a new fucking deadbolt again.... because you know ... it's fun to change your locks every 2 years....

Really Asshole, what if it was talking to someone like you?

I sprained my wrist on Monday and have been wearing a wrap to keep it from hurting too much. I went to the TD bank and you could maybe see one inch sticking out from under my sleeve. It wasn't very visible and was SKIN TONE.

Some arrogant Jewish asshole arrives to stand in line behind me and when I heard something I looked briefly behind me and then went back to look at tellers. I hear behind me "So did you get that hitting your bf".  When I first heard that I thought he was on his cell phone and talking to himself. Then it dawned on me about 5 minutes later that I have a wrap on my hand and since he came in just after me, maybe he saw me get out of the truck? Then it dawned on me that the idiot had actually said that to me. 

I was stunned. What? Didn't know a better line to pick me up?  What a single woman in a bank line asks to me picked up with cheezy fucking pick up lines?

Either way.... I should have responded in the loudest voice possible "No I got that hitting a creepy stranger who decided to talk to me for no reason".

It really pissed me off. This usually happens to me when I'm already either a) pissed off b) suffering from Social anxiety. and then people wonder why I have days where I don't want to go out of my house, don't want to talk to random strangers.....

Special place in hell - the sequel

So to unpackage 24 mini-HDMI to DVI adapters took me 2 days.  My hands are covered in cuts and scrapes and my fingers hurt from the stiff plastic.

The worst is the footprint.  See how much garbage is generated by the 24 adapters?

The black bunch is the Adapters. How hard would it have been to make cardboard boxes that can just be flattened once adapter is removed. Instead I have shit tons of plastic and paper to dispose of. 

Special place in hell

I believe there should be a special place in hell reserved for those people who think packaging everything in this molded plastic is a good idea. For starters the plastic is either too rigid or too thick to rip along the dotted line. Half of the time the plastic just breaks in half and risking cutting you. IF you manage to pull all of the tab off, then you have to try to go dig into the packaging to lift the paper up, and then try to get to the adapter packaged in more plastic.

Every single time I buy ACCELL adaptors I end up cutting all my hands and it's a miserable experience. I received 24 adapters that I need to get out of the packaging and then put a pink label on. I've only done 3. My poor poor hands. Also to the morons who design this packaging, how about the environment?

The company I work for now only uses cardboard boxes and they use cardboard inserts to protect the product from moving. Large manufacturers of monitors and computers are also moving in that direction, so what gives with this crappy plastic packaging that creates tons of waste?

One of the creeps who taxed my friends nephew around Riverside Park in Lasalle  has been caught.. This idiot and one of his moronic friends would point gun at teens to get their wallets and cellphones.

I won't even bother to say what I think of "The Donald" except to share this story.

People suck!

I don't mean that in a sexual way or a good way.  Lots of people on this earth are selfish narcissistic assholes. One of the New Delhi rapists, the one who was driving the bus was interviewed about his predicament, and he clearly puts the blame on women for being raped. She was out of her house past 9 pm.  She fought back? Now all women who are raped in New Delhi will be killed because of the bigger penalties he says. He also says it's all the woman's fault for being raped.

I still think in countries where rape is rampant, curfews should be put on males. After all they do the raping!  The view that a woman was asking for it, just drives me batty.  Like saying just because you breathe you deserve to be raped.

Suggestions for avoiding rape include dressing more conservatively, not flirting, staying home etc... Like WHAT THE FUCK?  Have they read statistics, men rape for POWER. They don't care if you're pretty, or sexy or young, or  what have you. Women are raped at all time of the day, NOT JUST AT NIGHT, like everyone would have us believe.  It was still light outside when I was raped.

People suck also because they are judgmental assholes.  It's like they think that people going through financial difficulties should not live. Before people give others help they judge them, and decide if they are worthy of help.

Even people going through a rough time need some form of entertainment, otherwise how the fuck do you expect them to get through the rough time.   A steady diet of austerity combined with depression and other hardships isn't going to help the person get out of their miserable situation. Occasionally you need a pick me up.  Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture and not just at an immediate situation.  You have to look at the sacrifices they made in one aspect of their life so that they may indulge a little bit from time to time, even when going through a more difficult period.

Most of my friends are going through financial hardships. My buddy in Ottawa, my friends in the townships, my friend who is living with me, my Lebanese Ex hubby,  my friend in Ireland..... I don't' judge them. I don't start looking for fleas... "Oh she went out Friday night, she can't really be struggling".   Yeah she went out, and had 1 drink that her friend paid. And you're going to judge her for that?  She should stay home and cry because she is broke?  Or he's having beef for dinner he can't possibly be broke, but you don't know he has a farmer friend that gives him meat in exchange for services rendered. And you're going to judge him for that? Or worse they smoke cigarettes or weed, and people expect them to stop cold turkey because stopping those activities are going to be enough to make ends meet? Seriously?

It's always easy calling the kettle black, but sometimes the pot should look at itself closely. Perhaps the pot is just as black and acting like a complete douche canoe!. Or in French we like to say you notice the straw in your friends eye but not the beam in your own..  "On voit la paille dans l'oeil de son voisin, mais pas la poutre  dans le sien " 

Fifty shades of Unimpressed

You have to be living under a rock to not have heard about the book and now the movie "50 shades of Grey".   I don't tend to buy into the hype, and was never particularly tempted to read 50 shades of grey and the likelihood I see it in the movie theatre, given that I'm already not a fan of going to the cinema is probably nil. I think the last movie I saw in the theatre was the last "Sex and the City movie". It was with my ex husband, and it was at the Colloseum in Kirkland off Chemin Ste Marie.

Sadly lately the media, including social media is saturated with this drivel. I hear the book is extremely poorly written, and that while it posses as erotic and bdsm, really, it's nothing more then glorified abuse. Most practitioners of BDSM will tell you that the relationship between the main 2 characters is unhealthy.  It's sad that hordes of women have bought into this garbage. We already don't have enough issues with rape and consent that some yahoo makes it sound all erotic.

There is really nothing erotic about being raped.  I know there are women who like to fantasize about rape, but trust me, the real thing... well... it kills part of you inside.

So I'm 50 shades of unimpressed with society in general . It's hard to know who to trust, and who is telling the truth. Having more access to information doesn't seem to make people smarter, it seems to permit to information peddlers to convince people that their information is the truth.

I know I live in a 'democratic" society where I think I have freedom. {Well at least there is freedom of what to think inside my head.. That must count for something? }  I can run up and down the street yelling how much Steven Harper is a moron, and I won't get arrested. At worst my neighbours will call the police and I will get a nuisance ticket.

But at the same time I know that I'm only free in so far as I am a good little citizen.  50 shades of unimpressed with the government, the health care system, workers comp {CSST in Quebec}, and everything in between.

I'm such a fool

This guy I met on POF back in September, I get the feeling he's had a fun time stringing me along.

December 19th, the day my vacation started he said it was great to be on vacation that he'd see me a couple of times at least.

What a load of hogwash. I got exactly ONE FUCKING text message from him since the 19th.

Yep. Couldn't even be bothered to send me messages during his vacation.I can't believe I bought into his story. What a fucking naive idiot I have been.

The sad part is I like the guy. But at this point I don't believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

You know when you tell someone you have trust issues and they do exactly what it takes to make them worse.

I mean I didn't want an intense relationship where you spend 24-7, 7 days a week with someone. I thought wanting to see someone about once a week and talk most days would be sufficient. Along with the odd week-end camping or canoeing trip.

But apparently that's too much too ask.

Apparently I'm at the very bottom of things that matter for him.

You'd think at my age I wouldn't be played like a fool, but apparently there's no fool like an old fool.

.NET hell

I don't know what MORON at Microsoft thought that:

1) it was a good idea to not make .NET 2.0 and 3.5 available for windows 8.1 downloadable separately.
2) it was a good idea to not include it to be easily installed VIA a USER INTERFACE, that end users REALLY like using DISM to install .net 3.5
3) it made sense that when you install it via the add/remove windows programs - THAT IT GOES TO THE INTERNET and then promptly fails.
4) it was a good idea to push an update that makes the .NET 2.0 & 3.5 no longer install ??!?!?!?!

Because we all know how stable going to a website goes. Never mind that many big companies have proxies that aren't that friendly to install updates or applications over.

Today I spent most of the day trying to get .NET 2.0 and 3.5 installed on a FRESHLY installed Windows 8.1.  I think my BIGGEST mistake was installing all the updates BEFORE trying to install .NET.  If I ran DISM from the install CD, it told me the source for the software was missing. I checked the CD, the path was correct.  I ran the DISM from another install CD, that a colleague had used and it worked for him. Did not work.

I tried the install via the add/remove which tells you it's going to download from Microsoft but then tells you that you have no internet, and when you click on the help for the error it gives, it loads a page in IE from the INTERNET - which it COULD NOT FUCKING FIND!!!  BUT it can always find it when creating a USER account, FUNNY that

I tried on a direct connection, where there is no proxy. It failed the same saying I had no internet.  Then I had a colleague with more patience then I, attempt 3 different ways to fix/restore to get the "DISM" way to work, and that failed as well.

Now re-installing Windows 8.1, after reformatting the hard disk,  this time I did not install the 60+ updates that came since the BIG UPDATE from April and .NET 2 & 3.5 did end up installing successfully.
