My latest sarong finds

Since the beginning of pandemic I haven't had a chance to go to value village much and the last few times they had no sewing patterns.

I always check for sarongs and silk scarves. Today was no patterns but found a dragonfly sarong!!!! These are the last 3 sarongs that felt the need to come home.

This one is a skirt. Not sure if someone bought a sarong then adding clips or if it was purchased like this but with minor adjustments on the pleats I've got this one to wear on the beach too!

New sarongs

My most recent sarongs. Two of them were found yesterday at Value village, the other two were found earlier in the year.

It was too cute

I still go to Value Village every other week in search for cool stuff. Last trip to VV I picked up this really cool sarong! Currently though I'm looking for black and dark sarongs since my bf has taken to them and wears them around the house.

Sarongs to be gifted

About a month ago I gave a Sarong to my friends 10 year old daughter and she seems to really like it.  Was a turquoise one with surfers.

I.found these two she might like.  She likes fish a lot. She would rather not have it for dinner!

New funky sarongs

Found a few more sarongs at value village in the past few weeks. These are the prettiest ones.

The pink one was totally new, never even been washed. Was also $5.99, the most expensive 2nd hand sarong that I picked up.
Love the pretty design on this one
Love the colours of this one

Cats love to sit on anything you put on the floor.

Whether it's fabric that I lay out on the floor or whether it's a Sarong I want to take a photo.. The cats MUST investigate.

Oh look she got a new Sarong,  Sniff it, sit on it, go go go
Sarong from Costa Rica.
I needed retail therapy on Friday. Stopped in at value village to find this sarong. Also stopped at Fabricville to buy some batik fabric.  So pretty. Want a batik that can work as a winter dress as well.  Also want to find fabric to make a medieval inspired dress.

I now have five

My sarong collection has reached 5. It was my first fruitful trip to value village in over a month. In fact there was 3 Sarongs at value village yesterday. One was black and white, obviously never used. One was royal blue, but with an obnoxious print. Then there was the one I bought. the cheapest too, at $2.99, but with a really nice print.

Sarong picked up yesterday.
Purple Sarong picked up in September
I've already worn the purple one I picked up in September, when I canoed in Riviere des mille iles to avoid sunburn on my legs.

Sarongs?

So I made the mistake of going to look at where one would buy a sarong online and I stumbled upon this site and fell in love with some of the Sarongs.....  Especially all the ones with dragonflies.

Guess what?

I'm now the owner of 3, yes count them 1 -2 - 3 Sarongs.... These a quick photos. One day when I have the patience I;ll hang it on the clothesline and take a full photo.

One I bought new last summer at KG. I noticed today it's fucking ripped. I'm going to have to zig it with the machine to prevent  further damage. I wore it ONCE.

One was given to me by a friend. I really love the colour too.

The last one I found yesterday at value village for $3.99. It's NOT ripped either, and from the fading on the label I can tell it's been worn a fair amount.  I'm not a huge fan of orange or yellow... but I liked the fishies
