WTF America?

So you decided to elect a racist, sexist, pussy grabbing, narcissistic, egocentric billionaire that would be broke if he hadn't been born in wealth and you think he will "FIX" your country?

Are you proud that your first lady stars in soft porn? Came to the country as an illegal immigrant?

And in case you want to know just how insulting he is, the New York times compiled it.

WTF is going on in the Excited States of "Murica?

I sometimes wonder about our neighbours to the south who feel very strongly about their right to bear arms (as opposed our right to bare breasts in Canada!)

Between the stupidity of bathroom laws {Personally as long as you wash your hands and don't pee on the fucking seat, I don't care which bathroom you use), people who refuse to bake goodies for people who are gay (Because GASP it offends their Christian beliefs that someone else is gay!) and the pervasive racism against blacks, I don't know that I'd ever want to move there, live there... even having them as neighbours is sometimes embarrassing. 

Don't get me started why a WHITE University kid who was caught raping an unconscious woman has his swimming scores published and he gets a slap on the wrist. A black man for the same offense might have been shot on the spot, if not condemned to years in Prison and they would have dug out every single little transgression he might have committed like getting into a fight when he was 15 for instance .

After several days where black men were shot in dubious circumstances, multiple police officers got shot in Dallas. The New Yorker had an interesting article.

Is it the 1940's ?

No wait, today is 2015.

Someone should inform Donald Trump. "The Donald" seems to espouse racism we thought we had eliminated after the 2nd world war.

It amazes me how many people support this twit. His stance on Muslims, wanting to ban them from America is about as clever as Germany's ban on Jewish people. It won't finish well for anyone.

Personally I have no problems with Islam.  I have problems with Fundamentalist Muslims but I have problems with Fundamentalist anything.  And I definitely have problems with anyone trying to shove anything down my throat, especially religion. Don't tell me who I can pray to.


Also imagine that, I'm not a follower of the great 3 religions. I haven't been a Christian since the age of 6, my mom isn't Jewish and I've never converted to Islam, but if I had to choose out of the 3 I would probably choose Islam.    However often I'm more caring about people then those who found or have religion. Imagine what that says about me. I'm not nice to others because Jesus tells me to, I'm nice to others because I believe in being nice!

No one deserves to be blown up

My heart goes out to all the victims of bombings yesterday. 

That includes those who lost limbs, or their life at the Boston Marathon.

That includes the Syrians around Damascus being blown up by their own government.

That includes the Iraqi's all around Iraq yesterday that suffered a series of blasts. 

What is wrong with people who feel the need to blow up their fellow man??????

Syrian Media lie!

The syrian regime's new Lie is to claim that the "occupy wallstreet" marches are the equivalent to what goes on in Syria. What a bunch of garbage!  No one in the US has been shot protesting wallstreet! No family is now worried that someone close is going to show up dead either.

We recently put up an article about the Occupy Wall Street protests in the USA -- there is lots of news about it on Syrian television stations.

For sure there is a lot of unhappiness in America about the economic situation. Unemployment is relatively high - nine percent. Housing prices keep falling, hurting more families. There is much debate between the two main American political parties about how to fix the U.S. economy.

We don't know exactly what will happen next. What we do know is:

* the US will have national elections in November 2012 that are not under the control of the American intelligence establishment but rather an independent election authority not controlled by the President or Congress;

* the Occupy Wall Street organizers will be entirely free to run as election candidates or to organize to support candidates;

* Occupy Wall Street groups will not be allowed to destroy public or private property, but they can organize more protests in other cities and they can say whatever they want about the U.S. government without being arrested or shot;

* the police will not shoot thousands of protesters;

* some Occupy Wall Street organizers have been arrested for disturbing public order (blocking traffic) but they won't be tortured, and no family will receive the body of a protester bearing torture marks.

* the international media and NGOs are watching and reporting on the Occupy Wall Street protests without interference from the government;

* the Occupy Wall Street organizers will be free to talk to any American or foreigner who wants to talk to them without fear of arrest;

* the U.S. government may complain that some countries' currency policies are hurting the U.S. economy, but the US government will not tell the world that there is a vague foreign conspiracy for which it lacks any specifics or evidence but that it says is encouraging the Occupy Wall Street or other protest movements.

Something to think about…

Major Pet Peeve.

As a Canadian one of my pet peeves, is hearing the United States of America, being called America. Last I checked, there were three countries in North America, Canada, the USA and Mexico. There are many more countries in central and south America. These people probably find it equally as offensive. 

Technically as a Canadian I'm also an American, as I live also in America. If anyone bothers looking at a map!  It used to piss me off when I was visiting Belgian relatives in my teens and they would talk in French all about l'Amerique. Same thing, calling the USA the name of a whole continent.  More insulting was that to come to visit us in Montreal, they felt they need to fly to New York first and then to Montreal!

I mean sure the USA is a big country that wants itself to be a #1 player in World affairs, but it is very arrogant of them to refer to themselves as Americans like they are the only ones on the continent.
