THings I found in my big trunk.

Knitted things from my mom, sewn things I made when the girls where little. I even have both of their first pair of shoes!

I have the most awesome daughters!

As I age and mature I feel better inside my head, but I still struggle with my past. It was refreshing to spend time with my 2 daughters during the Christmas break.

For starters I have 2 beautiful, intelligent, independent and articulate daughters that are totally awesome. I love the fact they have a beautiful friendship. I've never had siblings, and sometimes I envy the relationship my daughters have with each other. It's cute to watch them talk back to one another or even bicker like an old married couple. It's sweet how they help each other out and how they treat one another. I watched Samantha teach Isabelle how to make cookies.

Both in their late 20's they are reasonably well-adjusted and pretty autonomous. Samantha's few years full time in the military helped her grow into the young woman she is, and the two years Izzy spend in London definitely had a huge impact on who she is today.

While I know I had a big impact, being at home full time for 6 years with the girls when they were little, I also know that their dad, his wife Sylvie, and even some of my long term friends like Debbie also had an influence  on the people they became today.

I'm very proud of both of my daughters and admire both of them and of course I love them equally because they are equally as awesome!

My eldest has 2 goofy young dogs that are adorable. Odin is a tailless wonder with spectacular blue eyes. Zeus is an anxious sweet dog, with a very sweet temperament and he LOVES to play ball.

The old St Bernard school in DDO

It was changed school board so probably no longer has a Catholic school name. But this used to be my daughter's elementary school when they were children.

All the cute snow sculptures had caught my attention the several other times I'd passed in front of the school in the past 2 weeks.

Mother's day Week-end

So Saturday of mother's day week-end I spent most of the day shopping on St Hubert street going to the various fabric and notions stores. Then headed back home at dinner time where my eldest daughter was waiting for me. We caught a quick bite at an Amir's and took the metro to Cafe L'Artere to see Tranna Wintour The show was awesome.  Here's a few photos I captured myself.

I was very touched that my daughter in England messaged me to wish me a happy mothers' day. The daughter who was with me took me to an awesome show and gave me a very touching card. I cry each time I read it.  I was also very touched by the bouquet of flower I was given by my friend younger then my daughters. She wanted to thank me for being supportive of her in the two years she's known me. I was just so stunned, and I always react strangely when I'm stunned.

I am so proud.

I raised two incredible women!  They are articulate and speak their mind. I LOVE IT.  I am so incredibly proud.  They aren't fragile over coddled little snowflakes.

Today I'm all emotional and I'm a proud mama.
